Jelling : The history of the Danes Jelling is an old and important historical town in the history of Denmark. In the Viking Age it served as the royal seat of the first Monarchs of the Kingdom of Denmark. Jelling is the site of a large stone ship and two large burial mounds, the Jelling stones and Jelling Church.
Aarhus : 2nd town of DenmarkIn just one day in Aarhus, we will experience adorable architecture, ponder the mystifying Aarhus art museum, taste incredibly yummy Street Food and party together with the Danish during their Midsummer festivities .
Aarhus is a good mixture of small town and up and coming city, so there’s plenty to see and do. It’s expanding all the time, especially because of the recent expansion of its port. Tivoli Friheden: where Midsummernight comes aliveTrue to tradition, a big St. Hans bonfire for St. Hans Eve (= Midsummernight) is lit, Mayor Jacob Bundsgaard give a speech and midsummer carols are sung. To fire up the fiery atmosphere, Burhan G – Denmark’s #1 popstar - stops by for Fat Friday, which this year falls on the same day as Saint Hans.
Horsens: industrial heritageHorsens Museum is in a beautiful building from 1915, designed by the local architect Viggo Norn, the man behind many of the buildings which are distinctive and worthy of preservation.
